Attractive Chickens

This consists of portraits of chickens: 4 hens and 1 rooster. I moved past the cows to expand my goal of showing other farm animal’s expressions. This was my first time drawing any type of bird.
My references are from photograph’s I have taken, and some friends provided. Although I worked from a photograph, I manipulated the images to be different in the painting. I did this by cropping out backgrounds, surrounding objects, and adding different colors.
